Why Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) Essential Oils?

Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade CPTG Essential Oils doTERRAThere are SO many options for essential oils– Target, Walmart, health food stores, even seemingly unrelated MLM companies like Origami Owl (jewelry) and Scentsy (smell-good). But then there are the “more expensive” essential oil companies like doTERRA and Young Living. So why Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils, when there are so many other, less expensive options?

Well, it starts with the FDA. When it comes to essential oils, the FDA only requires there to be 10% essential oil in order to be labeled 100% essential oil. How crazy is that?! That means there’s up to 90% filler, synthetic oil, and mystery liquid in that bottle. I, for one, don’t want that anywhere near my family, my kids, or my home. It also means that the consumer (you) has to do their research when it comes to choosing essential oils for their own use.

I chose doTERRA. doTERRA is the only company on the market that not only provides the safest, most effective oils, but also does it in the most environmentally-friendly way. Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) is a standard that doTERRA came up with for themselves because they felt the government’s definition wasn’t high enough.

doTERRA is also the ONLY company that allows you to find the graph that shows the chemical constituency of every single bottle of oil by searching the code on the bottom of your bottles of essential oils. All you have to do is go to sourcetoyou.com and plug it in! No other company is this transparent because, I believe, no other company is this safe.

For more information on the whole plant-to-bottle process and why Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils, check out this short 3.5 minute video.

I personally will never use anything else on my family. I feel safe using this in our food, our water, on our kiddos when they’re feeling under the weather, around our pets, and, of course, on ourselves. Check out my shop page to find out how you can get these top-quality oils for 25% off the retail price!

[…] This Instant Pot chicken soup has big pieces of shredded chicken so it feels like a MEAL. Adding in the butternut squash adds a little bit of a sweetness to the broth, while the kale gives some crunch and the freshness you want all year long. Using thyme essential oil in the broth means you get the amazing flavor of the herb without having to have it in your fridge or garden. You also get all the great benefits that come with using thyme essential oil— including supporting a healthy immune system, which is EXACTLY what you need when you’re not feeling your best! Just make sure that if you use essential oils in your cooking, they’re the best on the market so you get the best benefits you possibly can. To find out more about which ones and why, check out this post. […]

  • Started our summer off the way we always do— sno cones on the last day of school! 🍧🌞🏝
.
This year, we got to have the Sheehan girls with us, too. I can’t believe how big all of these kids are, but so thankful that the girls are OFFICIALLY Dallas residents so we get to do this way more often (FOREVER).

  • This funny little guy is 7 months old! Maddox is rolling all over, sitting up on his own, and loving getting to try food. I think my favorite part of the day is watching him watch his brothers (and watching his brothers play with him)— they all just think the other is God’s gift to them and them alone. (Every one of these pictures shows you where his big brothers were, based on where he’s looking. He couldn’t have cared less about Mama during the photo shoot!)
