I’ve seen “how to make boiled eggs in the Instant Pot” all over Pinterest or Instant Pot Facebook groups, but I’ve always done fine making them the old-fashioned way, so I never bothered to try. Matthew and I decided to make them the other day just for the heck of it and y’all. Y’ALL. My life is changed forever. I will NEVER make them any other way again. Instant Pot boiled eggs really are the fastest, easiest, and prettiest eggs I’ve ever made.
First of all, they have to be cooked well to be worth anything, right? 6 minutes in the Instant Pot and you have PERFECTLY done boiled eggs. Seriously. No weird coloring, no soft middle, nothing. If you prefer a slightly less done center (like in the pic), set your Instant Pot boiled eggs to cook for 5 minutes instead.
Then there’s the peeling of the eggs. It’s a PAIN to peel eggs, especially if they’re fresh, but again, not with these! The shells LITERALLY fell off. I had perfectly smooth eggs for on salads, to turn into deviled eggs, or y’know, just eat.
Knowing how to make boiled eggs in the Instant Pot has officially made food prep for the week SO much easier. I can make a dozen eggs for snacking or easy protein for lunches while I’m getting all the fruit and veggies prepped, without having to think about it at all. Even the peeling takes a tenth the time it used to, which saves me a ton of time on a Sunday night to spend with my sweetheart instead! If you’re into meal prep like I am, check out this all-natural fruit and veggie wash that will save you even more time when it comes to getting your fruit and veggies squeaky clean!
